Man I love the 3 channel Plexitone....don't need'em all though....Carl Martin posted on fb a single Plexitone is in the making and will be here sooner than we know....the ONLY "improvement" I would want is a little more "openness" and a tad more EQ control, especially the mids...however, I like the simplicity of it now...Either way, I can't wait!...It is truly a Bogner in a box to my ears

    Sold!

Have the current version & it's the only pedal I bought/sold/regretted/bought again.

Can't wait. Thx for the heads-up.

    Can't wait.

    From the horses mouth
    http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showpost.php?p=9150819&postcount=37

We have one running on 9v now....But it has an internal current booster, but only needs 9v dc to work(preferly a regulated powersupply)

Yesterday we made a version that can do the usual internal voltage we normally use! So that nut is cracked now.....

I also changed the voicing slightly, made it more round and middy, more like an unmodded 1959/1987 head, those have that fat woddy yet still clear tone.

So now it fits the name more, the two channel was always considered to be a hotrod thing...more topend and high mids...

The single channel will be more on the vintage side, same amount of dirt is avaible, same lows as well, the mids are less high and more fat, made it so it won't need as much dirt to give a good amount sustain and such...

It just got more traditional and less 80's in the sound....

The AC-Tone will also have that change with the powersupply!

We are working towards doing that to the whole line that uses the current internal powersupply....

    But it will take time!

Thomas finetuned it some more the other day, lowered the voltage some and increased the mA's, as the PT is a thirsty thing.
They will have no battery compartments.

You will most likely be able to give them 9-12v on the dc-input.
Right now it is back on the todo list, Frankfurt is upon us!
    Ja Ne guys!

Cool. I'm hoping its in stores by the fall.

One last thing, will it be the same size as the new small box classic series? Even smaller would be better IMO. In my idealized world every pedal is in the small mxr enclosure.

I don't know. I picked up the Plexitone today and I'm playing it on the clean channel of a Shiva 20th. I can't get the PLexitone on the clean channel to sound anything like the Shiva's dirty channel. I think the lack of a mid knob on the clean channel or on the pedal is what's lacking. The pedal has a TON of gain and sounds somewhat amplike, but it lacks control over the mid IMHO. And even the crunch channel on the pedal pushes a lot of gain and my amp on the dirty channel gets noisy pretty quick from it. Probably won't keep it, oh well.

    Awesome clip.

I can't wait to get my hands on the new versions of the Plexitone and AC-tone.

I just love those pedals. I have been playing for 30 years and have been through a lot of equipment in all my years of playing.

I only stumbled onto Carl Martin recently and must say that these pedals are up with the best. My only issue is as with most people their size but that seems to be addressed with the new line of pedals comming soon.

    Keep up the good work.

I went to Carl Martin booth and asked about 1-channel Plexitone.
And the guy clearly stated that they do not even plan to make it :(

    Why after???
I almost always have all kinds of modulation before any dirt....do not like it much after.
    The vibe was before here.
    :)
Well he was down there with his new amps and the springreverb pedal, he might have known it as the 9v project though...hehe
Guess the boss forgot to tell him about both the pt and ac drives...

They are very much in developement....
Took home the ac-tone variation today, wanna test it on my home recording setup.
