Hi, looking to replace a Carvin bolt plus with 3 single coil slots in the wood (no pickguard) came with stock carvin thin line pickups. All the replacements I have, (sorry don't know the name) a small lip extension standard for all single coils ,where the coil windings meet and extend out to the output leads
I'd like to keep the guitar stock without routing.
Anyone know of a thin line or drop in replacement?
It's about 3.5mm at the v angle too short for standard replacements.

I've read some folks have grinded down the extension, but the 3.5mm is too much and would
    weaken the leads.

    Thanks.

I know for a afact that dimarzio sells single coils without the lip,or whatever it’s called.
    Call them up.

EMGs don't have the lip. In addition, Suhr made me single coils in the past without the lip as a special order.

Thanks for the replies, not much info out there about carvins?

So for anyone that encounters this, I found Seymour Duncan SSL-5 set will fit.
    I did not find any Dimarzio's .

glad I a waited before I broke out the Dremel. :'(

I know that Seymour Duncan can put any of their single coil models on this type of bobbin, too.

Are the pickups you are replacing the Single Coils AP11's? If so I'm looking to buy a used one or 2 of them. Thanks!
