    Hi Anthony - that video did help quite a bit. As expected, I just didn't get it. I was able to set up multiple tracks and selectively undo/re-record them. It's still a bit jumpy when I'm on the last recorded track and want to go back to the first track as the Aeros adds one or more empty tracks. For example, if I have three tracks and want to go back to track two; what happens when I tap next track is I add a track 4&5 and then it may jump back to track 1 where I can tap once more and get to track 2. Is there something I'm missing about distinguishing between "add" and "next"? The empty tracks aren't so much a problem as I now know how to write over them but it adds to the confusion as I didn't intend to add those tracks.

    I did also recognize the single level of undo...a update to allow multiple undos would be a welcome feature. (hopefully, my lizard-brain would be able to figure it out!)

    Thanks!

    The first tap of "Next Track" while the text is red queues up a new track for recording. This you know. The recording will start at the beginning of the next measure. What you may not have noticed is that the "Next Track" text turns green. You must tap it again before reaching the next measure (while it is still green) to abort the new track and jump back to track 1. If you wait too long and it reaches the next measure, then the recording begins and the "Next Track" text will turn red again, which indicates that a tap now will actually finish the new recording and queue yet another new track for recording.

    You can see Anthony do this at 5:16 in the video he shared where he quickly double taps, first tap queues a new track for record, second tap aborts it and puts the context on track 1.

    I watched several videos before I drew the connection between text color and action. I thought more emphasis should have been placed on that, I would have understood what I watching quicker.

    For those that have had the Aeros for a bit and got the basics figured out, have you braved trying it for a live gig yet?

    When you say 'fulfillment notice', did you mean a notice that it shipped, or that it accepted your order?

    @Anthony Singular Sound A question for us ambient drone people. Earlier I asked you if there's a way to overdub so that one could make a seamless drone, and you said yes. I'm curious, will there be, in the future, if not now, something that could smooth the transition between song parts? If I have a drone on TRACK 1 in part A, and I want that same drone in Track1 of part b, is there a way to get it so it won't get a click when it goes to the next part? I know my Pigtronix had a 'click killer' (that I don't think worked too well) that was like a mini crossfade, when the loop restarts. Thanks.

    I will say that upon deeper investigation - achieve the fullest enjoyment - it does appear owning a Beat Buddy becomes a mandatory item to use with the new Aeros Loop Station to .(Luckily I already own one )
    The Beat Buddy becomes an important controller and clock source for the Aeros Station - think of them as a team. And I predict once their MIDI Maestro MIDI Controller passes FCC we will see more demoes where the Aeros Loop Station is placed elevated on a stand
    https://singularsound.com/product/midi-maestro/
    Both have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and they have big plans for deep integration of their whole product line

    For incite on Aeros Studio MIDI Implementation - review the latest Beat Buddy Implementation MIDI Transmission , Many MIDI CC# control functions are defined there

    https://singularsound.com/downloadable/BeatBuddy-MIDISettings-Firmware-v1.77.pdf

    They have recently updated the Aeros Loop Studio FAQ - more details at bottom of page
    https://singularsound.com/product/aeros-loop-studio/

    ===
    Why are loops different colors?
    The Aeros Looper uses a color coding system for loops and cues. This helps to give you the most visual feedback at a glance.

    Red means recording, green is the track/overdub which is currently selected and playing, blue is a track that’s playing but not currently selected, and yellow is an overdub that’s being recorded.
    ==
    How does hands-free mixing work?
    The looper’s included scroll wheel will control master volume while playing a song, but if you hold down the song part button (left) you’ll enter mixer mode. In this mode you can switch between tracks with the looper’s built in comfort+ buttons and control their volume using the scroll wheel as well.

    ==
    Simultaneous parallel and sequential loops? Tracks and song parts? How does that work?
    When looping, traditionally there have been 2 main modes that looper pedals operated. Parallel mode let you record multiple tracks that play on top of each other, while sequential let you record multiple tracks which play one after another.

    The Aeros Loop Studio allows you to do both simultaneously by enabling you to use 6 tracks (parallel looping) in 6 song parts (sequential looping). This results in a total of 36 unique loops!

    Perhaps best of all, you can mute any of the tracks and go to song parts out of order, all with just your foot.

    ==
    Will tracks be locked to the same length?
    Nope! Each track can be a different length. The looper will automatically sync them to the measure. This means you could lay down a 2 bar bass track, then come on top with a 4 bar rhythm guitar loop before finishing up with an 8 bar lead guitar loop.

    You can even combine loops with odd numbered measures and even number measures (a 1 bar swell with a 4 bar bass line). The Aeros will sync them together seamlessly.

    ==
    Is this quantized? Is there a freeform mode?
    The Aeros will let you play in both a quantized and freeform mode.

    In the quantized mode it will sync your loops to the measure.

    ==
    How are loops saved?
    Loops are automatically saved as songs in the form of wav files on your pedal’s onboard memory or SD card. These songs will retain all of the tracks and song parts that as well as the settings.

    You can name/rename and delete songs, letting you save your favorite loops for use later during a jam session or show.

    ==
    What Instruments does it work with?
    The aeros will work with anything that can send signal through a 1/4″ (6.35mm) connector.

    ==
    Will the Aeros work with Microphones?
    Yes, provided you use a cable that ends in a 1/4″ (6.35mm) plug and/or a preamp.

    The Aeros does not feature phantom power.

    ==
    How does it work with the BeatBuddy?
    When using the Aeros and BeatBuddy together, the BeatBuddy will control the tempo and time signature. Pressing play on the BeatBuddy will start the Aeros, and stopping the BeatBuddy will stop the Aeros. In addition, both pedals will sync song part changes.

    ==
    Can the Aeros store up to 48hrs of songs via SD card, is that in stereo or mono? And how many songs can it store?
    The Aeros can store up 3 hours of recorded music in 24 bit format. You can increase this to 48 hours by using an SD card (32 GB max size). Each song can have up to 20 minutes of recording time. 48 hours is mono 24 bit audio. Stereo would be 24 hours.

    We are building a “Free Sync” Mode for the Aeros, it should be ready at the time the Aeros will be shipped.

    Free Sync mode = record loop without any beat or timing, and all loops after that will be multiples of that loop.

    ==
    How does Aeros react when there is tempo change? Does it stretch the loop ? Also, how does it behave when it is midi synced with a tempo that change constantly (say, every beat has a new tempo, like natural fluctuations - about 5% of tempo variability)?
    Currently, the loops do not stretch to tempo changes. However we do plan to build this feature before the end of the year and it will be a free update.

    ==
    How many inputs does the Aeros have? What are their features?
    The Aeros has two mono inputs and one stereo aux input, so it could be done. However, please note that the aux input recording function will probably be completed in a few months so it might not be ready immediately.

    ==
    Master/Slave

    The BeatBuddy will slave to the looper and the looper will slave to the BeatBuddy.

    The Aeros can control the BB tempo, start, stop and transition. But not fills, songs selection, settings, etc – we may build that later, but it’s not built yet.

    ==
    Next Track Button / Song Part Button

    The Next Track button is to start another parallel track which will play at the same time as the other tracks. The song part button will take you to a new section where you can have an additional 6 parallel tracks.

    ==
    Is the Aeros "suitable"/comfortable to use as a "desktop" Looper? Does it have balanced inputs?
    Yes, it is perfect as a desktop looper. However the inputs are unbalanced.

    ==
    Can the Boss RC10R integrate with the Aeros?
    No.

    ==
    Does your looper provide reverse and octave shifting? Beat Detection?
    Currently there are no loop effects built in to the Aeros, but it is on our development timeline.

    Beat detection is not currently built, however it is on our development timeline.

    ==
    In the free mode can I have six independent stereo tracks?
    Yes.

    ==
    Is there a jack out for headphones?
    We do not have a headphones jack out, but you could use the aux out jack as a headphone jack. However you may need powered headphones in order to get the signal level as high as you would like.

    ==
    Could Bluetooth be used for phones?
    There is Bluetooth, but we have not built that feature yet however it is a good idea and we are looking into it and building it.

    ==
    Does the Aeros generate or lock to midi time code (MTC)? What about midi clock?
    The looper has been designed to sync and to lock to and generate a MIDI clock signal, as well as follow and generate start and stop commands. Additionally it will change song parts when it receives a transition command from the BeatBuddy, or if the Aeros is master, tell the BeatBuddy what tempo to play at, when to transition, what part to play, etc.

    ==
    Do you think your new looper could be used by a completely blind person?
    We did design the looper to use the touch screen extensively, including setting up songs, and visual cues of when the recording will start and stop, etc. The basic recording functions can be done with the footswitches, but the touch screen is necessary to set up songs, choose settings, etc. However we are doing our best to design the menus on the touchscreen to have large buttons to make it as easy to operate as possible.

    ==
    I’ve seen a cloud icon in video about Aeros. Since it has wifi it got me thinking that cloud support (dropbox, gdrive, icloud) is possible. Will this be an option later on or the icon was only referring to OTA updates?
    Cloud storage is on our development timeline.

    ==
    Does Aeros support beat detection as some other loopers? Lets say I record something (w/o midi tempo), will it autodetect bpm?
    It does not currently, but it is on our development timeline.

    ==
    I am just wondering what the stereo Aux send and return jacks do on the Aeros?
    The aux out right now is so you have the option to send the click track in order to keep it from bothering your bandmates/the crowd/audience rather than out the main outputs. The aux in is planned to be used as an additional port to record backing tracks into the looper.

    ==
    Can I record a loop in song part 1 and after that a loop in song part 2 or 3 etc. without playing back the previous recorded loop? Or will every loop play back after recording and I have to wait with recording the next loop in another song part until playback is finished?
    Yes, you can record a loop in each song part without playback.

    ==
    Can I sync Aeros with one another?
    Yes you can sync as many Aeros together as you want.

    ==
    I would like to know if Bluetooth and WiFi are on/off switchable or do they constantly emit?
    You can disable them.

    ==
    How do you start recording a loop/track then hit a button to go STRAIGHT into recording another track/loop? (Rather than playback first, then record another loop).
    For parallel tracks you press the next track button. For sequential you press the song part button, though with 6×6 mode you will need to press the record button after you press the song part button to select the next song part. The currently recording track will be saved automatically without having to press play on it.

    ==
    How do I mute a track without double tapping a switch? Perhaps via midi?
    This can only be done with an external midi controller like the Midi Maestro.

    ==
    Can the Aeros reverse play (play songs backwards)?
    It is on our development timeline. Not available at the present time.

    ==
    Would it be possible to send two different signals to 2 different amps? One to a bass guitar amp, the other to a guitar amp.
    Yes, the Aeros can have up to 6 parallel tracks, each with a different length. You can plug a guitar into the left input and put the left output to your guitar amp and put the bass into the right input and put the right output to your bass amp.

    Mine is scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

    Before ordering, Anthony was nice enough to take the time to answer a few questions I had first, through PM on this board. Same for GuitarDave. So thank you both for that.

    I do already own a BeatBuddy. It's my favorite "guitar" pedal. :)

    Especially considering I own a Helix, so I have zero GAS for actual guitar pedals and amps and stuff like that any longer.

    But a cool looper ... heck yeah. I can definitely use that!

    Looking forward to it!

    Anyone know if these ship out of Florida, or Texas? I know SS is based in FL, but I got a notice from the USPS that I have a package coming tomorrow from TX that I can't account for, and am hoping this is it.

    If you haven't already - download the latest update for the Aeros. I was really struggling with editing once tracks were laid down and with track navigation. This update fixes all that.

    I got a second batch Aeros. I hit up their support.

    No 6x6
    No storage
    Unable to turn off quantize

    :(

    I had options, but it appears they disappeared or malfunctioned with the 2.8.2 firmware update. It seems like the device needs a factory default option or a last known good config option. I will see what their support says.
