I'm looking for an online tool or downloadable software that will allow me to generate progressions of chord charts, with fingerings and scale degrees notated. I'd like to be able to embed them within forum posts.

I've come up empty. Does anyone know of anything?

In another thread here, someone made a suggestion to me (http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showpost.php?p=3665016&postcount=13), and I'd love to generate a large sequence of chord charts and post them here, to see if I understand the suggestion correctly.

There are many other occasions when it would be great to imbed a few quick chord diagrams in posts. Does anyone know how it can quickly and easily be accomplished?

    Thanks.

I found a very niftly little freeware program called QuickChord (http://www.zippybackflash.com/software-quickchord.php) that lets you create chord chart BMP's very quickly and easily. I then insert them 1 at a time to a Google Docs document and publish the series of chord charts for public viewing. (Google Docs offers free online office programs, that store the data on their servers, and doesn't cost you any bandwidth).

I wanted to see if this was a quick and easy way for folks on TGP to share chord charts, without requiring any sophisticated knowledge of authoring tools or publishing. Download time and learning curve is under 5 minutes.

Here's my first quick and dirty example, which took about 3 minutes:

A harmonized E Major scale, along the high E string:

Here is the output when you create a 'Presentaion' within Google Docs. It allows you to align the chord charts in a row:

Also, if there is a way to include HTML in the post, I could imbed the slideshow in the post using <iframe> tags:

    <iframe src='http://docs.google.com/EmbedSlideshow?docid=dfs8zg84_95gnb9b6hg' frameborder='0' width='410' height='342'></iframe>

Sorry if this is OT to some, but I think it would be great if there was a really quick and easy way for us to share chord charts/notation/tab within the forum.
