No poll. Just diggin' both lately...:dude
Both are fairly melodic (which I'm a sucker for no matter what genre...)

You guys have a fave out of the two?

Early Shinedown. Their current stuff does nothing for me & Sixx AM has never done anything for me.

Yeah, Shinedown. But some of Sixx stuff I've heard is pretty good with me. I'm still amazed it's all programmed drums on their stuff.

I think this song is just incredible.

I was always disappointed that the Shinedown singer would skip the hard parts live because it sounded so great on the records. Apparently he's taken some lessons since though, because he's been going for it lately.

Shinedown's the sound of madness record is great! I also dig the Sixx AM stuff too, I enjoyed the heroin diaries and thought the book/album idea on the first two records was great! Neither band are my first listening choice the majority of the time but in the right mood I dig both.

Both bands have some real standout songs, for sure. I can't get through a whole record though.

Lies of the beautiful people is a great tune.

Fly from the inside was sooo good! I wish shinedown kept on going in the direction...

Well I haven't heard a Shinedown song I like yet but Sixx a.m's latest album I think is pretty good.

This is one of the best songs to come out in the last few years IMHO.

With Life is Beautiful being the world's introduction to Sixx AM, this makes a nice bookend since it's the last track on on the deluxe version of their latest release.
