Great snapshot of the band from 1989 here. I really liked the Skids.
I saw them live back in the day and they actually put on a great show. I remember being impressed by how clear his voice was (not just f'n screaming too much etc..) and the two guitarists sounded great.
Love both bands..
Bas had a massive range.
Always liked em..I saw them open for Aerosmith a looooong time ago..I thought it was kind of a bad combo..skid row rocked the **** out of us and it made the Aerosmith show kinda dull..
They're no Gorky Park.....
How GP got more songs on the video release than the Crue did I'll never know.
I never found a metal band that did a punk cover right. The opening song was Holidays in the Sun by the Sex Pistols.

Man, I'm on the Ozzy section now. Zakk isn't squealing like a madman. It's nice.
Sweet! I remember taping this when they showed it on TV. It was a Wednesday and I had religion class that night. I had to make sure nobody changed the channel while I was gone.
why is it I can remember this and not where I left my keys?
I had my aunt tape it since it wasn't on the 4 channels we had at home. This is bringing back many memories.
Simple answer: The festival was created as a charity by Doc McGhee, the manager of Motley Crue, Bon Jovi and Skid Row, who had recently been busted by the feds for trafficking in cocaine.
At the time of the concert the Crue were on the outs with McGhee because they felt like he was working hard on Bon Jovi's career and not theirs.
Because of the bad blood they didn't allow McGhee to use many tracks on the official released. The also weren't getting paid for it as it was a charity gig.

But wait, there's more...
Nice. I like history.
I think this was Zakk at his prime, or at least my favorite era.
My girlfriend & I rented it on pay-per-view. We loved it. Wow, I wish I could go back and change my life. So sad. Great concert though.
Ah the good old days. When Zakk used to bathe.
