Yeah, I should have used the Soloway for that. I used my SRV strat for most of the clips but am using my Swan for for some as well. The swan sounds fatter.

Hey Jack, is the slap pop technique something you're putting in
    a new book?

    BTW: Sounds good!

    Thanks Mike.

Yes, I have 2 books coming out (hopefully near the end of the month).

Sheets of Sound II and "Slapping and Popping for Guitar".

Ed DeGenaro is performing the clips for SOS II and I'm doing the clips for the slapping and popping book! Ed's clips sound ridiculously good...:)

Hot damn!!! put me down for the Slap and Pop Book Jack, Ive loved that style for years and sad to say, Im a fish out of water when I attmept it. There was another book out there that SUCKED, I hope yours really teaches the basics...

It would be awesome if you had an accompaning DVD for visual examples, something that I think is very important with this kind of technique and style!!!

And yes, Ed D is ridiculously good( as well as incredibly sexy:worried :AOK )

Yep, I have that one as well and I agree.
I'll be doing a DVD this summer (hopefully) when we get our photo studio set up. It will be a separate thing though. And yes, I'll be going into the basics. The entire first chapter (about 50 exercises) is devoted basic techniques.

However, let's keep this thread about the soundclip. We can continue the book discussion in the commercial section if folks want more info about my books.

So these are going to be Book/CD combos?

I've enjoyed gleaning some new ideas from the first SOS.
Keep us posted on your release date(s) for the new ones.

Either a CD or password protected download. What would be your preference?

The download would save the cost of the CD, cd label and sleeve, etc...

I'll probably start the video on a DVD this summer too...

I think the download option is a good idea. Saves you and your
    customers some $.
