Slowing down guitar solos?

Hope this is the right section, but I'm looking for a good device or program, to record songs and slow them down, to transcribe the guitar solos.
I used to own a Pandora years ago, but I figure there may be better options now.
Any recommendations?

Amazing Slow Downer. You can slow down the track, loop specific sections, change the pitch and save it in different keys. Great piece of software.

Seriously? You can use WMP to slow down riffs?
Mike
Yep. I have version 11 but 10 has this also.

Right click the menu bar, select View>Enhancements>Play Speed Settings.
You can lower (or raise) the speed without changing pitch.

transcribe is the best I've used by far. It also does video which puts it above the rest IMO.

Take another look at your multi-fx manuals, if you have such gear laying around. Several such gizmos with loopers or jam-along type features also have pitch-correct time shifters.

Garageband can do this too, if you're on a Mac.

Is the stuttering unavoidable when slowing down a digital recording? Or is there software that can do it without the stutter?

Winamp can with a free plugin called Pacemaker. Download Winamp, then search on their site for the plugin section...and install it. You can slow down without changing pitch, change the pitch without changing the speed, and even center-cancel the vocals and guitar solos to play along. Oh, and it is free.
