1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

Have you ever sold a guitar for less than you wanted to get, only to find it for sale later by that buyer for a lot more than he bought it for? I guess I should wish the guy well in the spirit of capitalism and free enterprise, but DARN!

It was a one-off prototype for a model that never got into production from a manufacturer that isn't particularly high on anybody's list lately (Schecter). A thing of beauty that played like a dream. I won't identify it further because if you've been checking the LA CL you'd recognize it. I let myself get hammered down in my price because I needed some cash at the time. Oh well, rant over. It's not like I've never done anything similar....

What he asks for and what he settles for are likely different things.

Rest assured, he'll have just as hard of time selling it as you did. Except now he's not the original owner.

Really? I'm glad to hear it. They're nice folks, and some awfully nice stuff has come out of their custom shop.
