Anyone know of a small, MIDI-controlled relay for amp channel switching?

There are larger, multi-amp offerings (Voodoo Labs Control Switcher, the old RJM Mini-Amp Gizmo), and many of the all-in-one pedalboard switchers have this functionality.

But does anyone make a small, stand-alone device?

I thought the RJM one was pretty small? But yeah, it'd be cool to see someone come up with a stompbox-sized one. I'm really surprised there's not more on the market, with all this digital stuff these days.

It wasn't massive, but yeah- I was thinking something like that, stompbox sized, or something you could hide under a board.

The most current RJM Mini Amp Gizmo is as big as an Eventide H9. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued.

You might try to find a used one.

I have the Voodoo Lab unit. I don’t find it overly large. It’s not tiny but small enough that I’ve considered mounting in the back of my head.

Midi Solutions Relay. Small and super light.

Bingo! That'll fit under my gigging board. I only need a single TS connection for the amp, so that should do the trick.

    Thanks for the heads-up.

If you can find a used one (there out of production) a disaster area smart switch 2 is pretty small (size of a dmc with onboard switches)

you could also get any gen3 disaster area controller and have midi amp control out the multi jack.

I got the smart switch, and rehoused it into an ehx sized housing for additional external switches for my midi controller.

I had one and just sold it (I was no longer using it). It weighs a few ounces, like nothing. Completely programmable too (program change number, or CC control, whatever midi number you want).

Gibs- that is super cool, and a great idea. If I can find one I could certainly rehouse it.

Crimson Queen- thanks again. Cool that MIDI solutions are also in Canada.

    So two great solutions here.

I replaced my Mesa Dual Rectifier Bigfoot with a tiny midi controller from emcustom based in Europe.
It's literally 50x50x30mm ish. Super happy with it

Order a second Masterming PBC 6/X with the arrival of a 3 channel amp... a Suhr PT15ir.
3 Channels amp with effect loop, one MIDI Delay (Volante), an overdrive for boost and a Chorus : way too much for me to handle without a swticher.

If you’re looking for more switches, I used a NuX PMS-2 for a while. Has 6 relays (3 stereo pairs) and if you remove the rubber bumpers it fits easily under a mission style board (hadn’t tried with any others). Worked really well and took a fair amount of abuse w/o failure.

It's funny- I've looked at the multijack before but had no idea I could use it as a relay. Ok, quite a few options here. Thanks all.

Still looking for the right solution. Has to be small and take external power, so that rules out the MIDI Solutions box.

The Midibaby has a Multijack- anyone know if it has the same functionality? I've looked at the DisasterArea web interface for it, but it doesn't look that that's supported. I suppose next smallest with a Multijack would be the DMC.Micro, assuming that works.

web interface works for midibaby and midibaby 3. Midibaby cab be the midi switch and has a multi jack which can do amp switching. Midibaby 3 can receive midi commands and has multijacks.

So I heard back from DisaterArea- the MIDI Baby won't do it, but the DMC.micro will- that's nice and small.

Also contacted EU Custom and their MIDI channel switch box is tiny, and they have a version that supports TRS.
