Small Plexi Rig

Bunch of new gear in the studio:

I took delivery on a 1987 kit amp.

Going to the amp guy this weekend for what he thinks it needs.

JDesigns Thinline 2 x 12" on the way, for a Scumback H75/H55 combo.

This is very different after many Fenders and a couple K&M Customs.

I am just a little jacked...:dude

I will have to get the Les Paul out.

Paul, preamp tubes are pretty important on this head for the right tone with your speakers. What are you going to put in V1? And whose amp kit is it?

Congrats! My main gigging setup is a 1987 through a scumback loaded 4x12 with no attenuator. Your in for miles of smiles

I think small is a matter of choice, and is what I need for this space. A 4x12'' would be too large. I do believe the 'miles of smiles'.

Got it back.

EL34 1987/JTM 50 Triode kit with ClassicTone trafos/SS Rectifier.

It has Kerrannngg!

Smells like a Marshall, sounds like a Marshall, walks like one, talks like one, the 2x12 sounds great.

Has the Hendrix vibe with the strat. I will work my way through all the guitar cases.

Definitely has some 'hair' with the Strat.

Sounds large/has significant grind with the Les Paul.

An excellent, useable tone.

How can you play that thing? That must be super loud. You're definitely not playing that in your house...
I am playing in the living room.

It was the only place I could get a quick n' dirty set up.

I cannot put the Strat down.

Might be a little loud, but the neighbors have not called the cops or complained...

It's a 'quiet' 50 watts.
