Hi guys, Firstly I've been on here for years but I've had to change the method I log in with, so I'm not new, but it will look like that. ...now back to business - For small gigs I really like taking a tiny amp which is used as a little monitor for me then having a direct output to the desk. Any ideas what is the smallest amp this is possible with? I use a trademark 10 for this which has 8" speaker and XLR emulated output, but if I could go smaller I would - this is particularly in little pubs where I'm getting a reasonable level from an acoustic instrument and just want a bit of extra reinforcement. And if necessary plug into front of house. I'm doing a folk type thing on mandolin (no kit) and it cuts pretty well acoustically - sometimes we're pretty much acoustic in a pub, other times it's a more and we need a bit of reinforcement. Say 100 people. Then if the venue gets bigger, 200+ I want to plug the amp DI into the PA and just use the amp as a monitor. It seems most mini or micro amps just have a headphone out which then cuts the speaker, which is not useful to me. So I don't think micro cube can do it. Lunch box Jr maybe with speaker not cut, going through headphone out - but I've no idea how that'd sound in a desk. Thank you - all help appreciated.
