What's a smooth OD or distortion? Hopefully a wide range of gain, and a fairly good price?

I'm a real fan of the Keeley mod for the Boss BD-2 pedal.

Love my Marshall Guv'nor. Smoothness, "deep" control...classic tone.

    My favorite.

i thought the Diamond J-Drive was very smooth but still retained excellent string-to-string clarity.

BJF HoneyBee defines smooth. Also the DGTM with the switch on the left is very smooth (like a hot rodded TS-9)

The CMATMODS Butah covers all the ground of the HoneyBee at half the price, IMO.
