SO! Do you hang a picture behind a door that is open, and only view it when the door is closed?

What is the fashion etiquette? Is it tacky? If it is in a small room that you often close the door and can view the picture. Is it clutter?

Is it a picture of Morrissey?

Most people who have pictures of Morrissey look at them behind closed doors.

It's cool if you live in a college dorm.

A poster of Heather Thomas, circa 1980 something, wearing a pink bikini is appropriate I think. At least, that's what I had. It worked for the room.

I'm reminded of this. A million dollar painting, usually hidden behind an open door -

Many man years ago in my first apartment I hung a huge poster from a racy girlie magazine behind my bedroom door. I later moved to a larger apt with the same landlord but forgot about the poster. He rented the old poster to a little old lady. He was not happy when he told me about it.

Some of you guys!:jo Your minds just dive into the open sewer. This might be a picture and is at the moment, of a Locomotive with smoke out of the stack coming at you.

My fifteen year old son has this on the back of his door, mainly due to lack of wall space, but also so that it isn't so obvious when his Grandma visits. He bought it at a poster store when he was 12 shopping with his friends Mom. IMO it's a pretty awesome poster...

I would consider it, in those circumstances, and if the wall space was limited in the room. I'm not really sure how fashion or etiquette enters into it. As far as being tacky, I guess that depends on the picture, and this thread has plenty of illustrations of that!

If Mariyln could have worked out, her body would have been like that sans the tattoos. What a face and probably sexier than the real head of that body.

I've known several people with R. Crumb cartoons framed on the back of their bathroom doors. Or Phi Zappa Crappa. Of course I hung out with hippies...

I have 10 internal doors in the house, and all but 4 doors have guitars hanging on both sides of them, and 1 door only has one guitar hanging on one side of it, they are solid oak wood doors, they are old doors, not your usual hollow light chip board internal doors, doors like my internal doors are usually used for exterior doors nowadays, I really want to strip them down to bare wood and polish them up one day.
