Does anyone know if she is she still punching the clock at Fender's Custom Shop?
still there AFAIK.
I doubt she punches a clock. She's a marketing tool.
Still there. Fast Forward to 1:45:
She must still be winding. I just had a CS Strat delivered with Abby wound '50s that she signed.
BTW, the pups sound great but if I didn't know that Abby wound them I wouldn't give 'em a second thought. They are no better than my CS '54s and my CS '65s.
She looks great. That pickup winder is in good hands!!
She's not allowed to retire. Fender has the people from the Lenin mausoleum on standby along with the audioanimatronics people from Disney.
Good know that they are letting her work there for how ever long she wants to.
According to the video she started in 1955.
(I have a ’65 Strat pickup in the parts bin that's signed "AY". I guess she had a pretty good handle on what she was doing by then...)
All the same, I've been at my job for 22 years, and much as I like it, I don't want to be doing it in 2046!
