......and a Komet, along with George Lynch's old Trainwreck. It was indeed an awesome experience to say the least.....kind of like touching Heaven but knowing that I can't afford to get in for the long term! haha
I'm in New Jersey on business and my co-worker and I made the trip to NYC's Ultra Sound Studios. This is truly the playground of the Tone Gods. A perfectly tuned studio room literally stocked full of the finest amps available (and many that are not 'available'). Brunos, Komets, Carr's, Bad Cat's, and many many more. Each head was played through a straight 4x12 loaded with well broken in Heritage G12H's. I see a lot of things and meet a lot of people in my job and I do not generally get nervous or intimidated......today I was both to the point where I could only smile and strum like a kid playing his first chord. Maybe I busted out a few riffs, but my brain was a bit scattered! A good day at the office indeed. :BEER

I think it's better to have a night stand with an actress/model than to marry one. The maintenance is very high......I think you could understand the analogy. But it surely leaves a great memory, everybody should have some in their lives.

So what's the catch with that place? Is it really only $15-$37 an hour? That seems crazy. Last time I was in NYC, you couldn't get a beer and a slice for that! Do you sign away your mortgage/wife/kids as collateral? How the hell do they make money?

If you can't find a beer and a slice in NYC for under $15, PT Barnum loves you.

Its incredible really. I live in NJ, and local rehersal "studios" with trash, and I mean TRASH equipment were getting $50-75 an hour 10 years ago!! Not only that, but if you buy something at Ultra, that price comes off, so its free! VERY GOOD VERY GOOD!!

And that be what it's all about, brother!

I think I what love most about this whole electric guitar thing is that after playing guitar for 39 years - started when I was 10 .....

I'm still TOTALY THRILLED at the idea of walking into Ultrasound and having at it for a couple hours.

I'm still not that jaded, after all this time

I'm glad all ya'll feel it too. Some days, it's pretty cool being us.

    Dana
