    Overdrive pedal.

Picked up this the other day and I totally love it as a drive pedal. So I know that most klon type pedals are mainly used as a boost or mild drive, but I reckon this thing kills as an overdrive pedal. Drive around 3 o'clock, love it!

    Anyone else or just me?

I use mine as an EQ, strangely enough. I keep the drive all the way down, the vol pretty far down and I use the tone knob to add or cut treble.

I had a KTR right next to my ARC for a little while. The ARC just has something more pleasing in the mids for me. I like running mine with the gain around 2 to 3 o'clock. Just awesome.

I have an arc and use it to boost and eq. I have another klone with a 2nd gain stage and bass boost that I leave on and use as a drive.

Agreed. I use Klons and Klones for OD. I like TIM for clean(ish) boost with EQ controls.

Is it not supposed to be an overdrive? Uh oh, I've been using mine wrong for the past year.

Well it seems the general consensus around most places is that people tend to use it as a clean boost.

Just stating that I love it as a drive pedal as you seem to as well.

If you look at most of the pros who use the Klon on their pedalboard, most of them have their drive more than halfway up.

I have a Bondi Sick As (klon derivative) and I love its drive... Great sounds.

Yeah I use mine as a clean boost, drive all the way off only because it's the best clean boost I've used, bar none. The Archer isn't as good with the drive off as the Arc, but on the other hand I just love it with the drive near-cranked. It's why I keep two Klon circuit types on the board...

I love mine especially for playing cleaner solos. It seems like a lot of low end, is it just mine or does everyone else's give a big low bump?

You are not alone sir! I run mine around 1:00 followed by a Timmy around 10:00. Killer.

Do you have the bass boost engaged (V2)? I have the external toggle on mine. I often use it with a strat or tele, but turn it off with the jazzmaster or with humbuckers.

I have had mine a week. It's currently set with the drive knob about 9:00 or 10:00. Tone is at 12 and volume at 11. I just took every other drive pedal off my board and this with the Tweed or OD channel of my Redplate i just heaven. And rolling back the volume gives such a dynamic range it's awesome.
