They just became vaporware. A big hullaballoo was made of them when the guitars were introduced then nothing.

I guess I'm the only one with mild curiosity even if it's just for LOLs.

I wonder if they got canned.. I doubt the guitars were a big hit. The shapes are a little on the extreme side. They do play well though.

I agree. The guitars are constructed well and play nice but... They look cartoonish.

Zakk's playing amps with the Wylde Audio logo on them. I wonder if those are just redressed Marshalls or if they're actually WA product. I'm just surprised that nothing has been said since the initial announcement.

that dude will endorse anything, like evh, except no where near as popular so his gear is crappy and no one wants it.

That is a BS statement. Actually, I would say both of them only endorse select products over all the years that they have been working professionally.

Sorry, wrong. For a very long time Zakk endorsed and played Gibsons, EMGs, Marshall, EV speakers MXR/Dunlop pedals, strings picks. The same exact gear for multiple DECADES and He actually used them. Sounds like you are talking about someone like George Lynch.

The couple of Wylde guitars I've handled have been pretty well built for what they are. Nothing that seriously piqued my interest, but were fun to play for a few minutes.
I'd be interested to see the amps if they ever show up.

Is it an endorsement when the product only carries his name and not another brand?

Yeah, I liked the way they feel, but the look... No.

I have much more interest in the amps because they don't look cartoonish.

After a bit of thought... I think the guitars are basically really high-end Epiphones in quality. I don't know if I've only played lower end Wyldes... but the overall quality struck me as 'pretty solid import'.
I liked the fingerboards and fretwork quite a bit, but the neck shape wasn't clicking and I'm not a big EMG fan.

Aren't the guitars being produced through Schecter and built in South Korea at World Musical Instrument co.? It's a good factory (although I have seen a couple of duds come out of there too) and Schecter are solid guitars but as others have stated, those Wylde guitars are butt-ugly.

Something about metal guitarist's gear just turns me off. I was a huge Dimebag fan, but his line of amps and gear endorsements just seemed tacky. Same thing with Zakk.

Exactly. Maybe the deal he got with Schecter for the guitars didn't end well with the brand that had to build the amps.

That said, Zakk himself uses mostly a Wylde made by the Schecter CS...

He supposedly spent over $100k in lawyer fees to get out of that mess. The old leader of his fan club was in on the scam.
