been thinking of picking one up. do they work for clean and dirty? how many presets? thanks, craig
Hope it's not as dissapointing as the delay.
I got one... I like it alot....
there is only one "preset"... there is a "manual" switch that turns the Nova to exactly to whatever reverb and knob settings are on at that given moment. So if you use the "manual" switch in conjunction with the "preset" switch you can have two switchable reverb sounds.
Also the "manual" switch switches the unit to bypass mode if the "preset" switch in not engaged.
GOT ALL THAT! :Spank
I like mine.
It's fine. It's "better" than the Holy Grail, for twice the money.
I'm keeping mine, it's convenient in function and size.
I had one and got rid of it. Seemed very clinical and sterile sounding to me. I didn't like the way the reverb blended with the dry signal. I wanted to try it in a parrallel mixer (i.e. Xotic X-Blender) but never got the chance. Reverb sounds best when used this way IMHO.
Although, I haven't figured out what could replace it yet at that price point.
Have it and it isn't going anywhere. The Dynamix knob is where this thing shines.
Give the T-rex Room-mate some consideration to!
I sent mine back and got the Dr. Scientist. The nova had some faint digital artifacts that I didn't like. Odd that I could be so picky on that, yet not be able to pick up on some of the subtle differences in the reverbs it offered.
