I drove past Soldano's building a few minutes ago and there's a For Sale sign posted.

I looked at the website and the last "NEWS" post was dated 2015.

Anybody know if he's moving to a different size facility or selling the business or quitting?

They update their website about once every five years .

I spoke to Mike about doing a custom SLO and he hasn’t gotten back to me in several weeks.

Here's the broker page; scroll down to see the Soldano bldg. I wonder if the rumor I'd heard is true...that BAD stepped up?

Selling doesn’t mean going out of business.

Things were changing back when Bill left... it was strange and had little explanation. I think Mike is done and probably wants to retire

So he'll be making Mesa rectifier preamps then.

I called my Soldano phone number right now and it went to the Mesa boogie voicemail.

Seriously, I got Mike’s voice recording which I think he has had since he moved to Seattle.

Michael came up with the circuit no question. No need to agree or not. Randall copied it and linked it with a different power section. Even if one doesn't know the circuit. Line out the preamps on both to same power amp. No difference. Michael was disappointed with that bit of piracy but took it in stride like the classy guy he is. I got my first slo in 87 when he was in Hollywood. No question for me or him who was first.

Is this what happens when you drink whiskey with Friedman on that really looong (and totally rad) youtube show?

    Just Kidding!

As far as Im concerned, Soldano has earned the right to take a break and pseudo retire. SLO = Legendary amplifier

I just spoke with Mike a couple weeks ago and there was no mention of closing shop or anything remotely along those lines. In fact, he seemed in really good spirits and mentioned the depth mod would be stock on SLO's moving forward, starting a couple months ago. Really nice guy- cool you can just call and chat ad infinitum with him; he's an open book.
