Jet city is not anything even close to a soldano . Not even remotely .
I'm wondering if a new price point might be in order considering current events... the 100 is priced too high imo… needs to be no more than a BE 100 @ $3699
That's just silly and saying it out loud makes you look silly. Anyone with an IQ above that of wilted celery can see the obvious differences. But it requires the same vegetative state to categorically say they're not even close.
They're very obviously related and in the same family of amplifiers. everyone is welcome to their own relative opinions. But the general design distance between the two is not something that is subjective. And that distance is not a great one.
That is fantastic news! Thanks for the update.
Question about the Line Out on the new SLO amps .
Is the Line Out on the new SLO amps the same design Mike used as the Slave Out of the original SLO design , or are they different ?
Having nuked pads before, it's much harder to do on good quality through-plated boards than on cheap single sided ones. Marshalls from the mid 80s-mid 90s are really bad about the pots because they did some really, really stupid moves - namely, bending the PC pins on the pots over so when they do go bad it's nearly impossible to remove them without wrecking a pad or 2.
Have BAD now halted production in their Factory due to concerns around Covid - 19?
I just sent Dave a repair two weeks ago and I expected it to sit for a few months as is usually the case when I get mods etc done with him... as soon as things became more clear on the pandemic nature of this thing he was messaging me to get my amp out of there the work was done! I'm thinking they are shut down at the moment
Thanks. Yep, I just received information they are shut down as of now but thought I'd ask.
BAD closed per CA mandate.
Sweetwater just listed the new SLO-100 on their site:
Says “in stock!” Woohooooo!! Who’s going to go first?
They can't shut down!!! Soldano should be considered "essential infrastructure", along with Friedman!
But seriously, I hope everyone gets through this thing okay.
Its bad in Southern California. I do work for a company that is considered "essential" but, so many people are out. Its scary. Almost no traffic on my commute. Driving by businesses that were once bustling and seeing them closed with the lights out and parking lot empty is surreal.
Anybody have any idea what 1) the weight and 2) the footswitch schematics are for the SLO 30? I'm intrigued by it so far, but I'm trying to downsize my rig weight wise as well as I prefer a minimum 3 way (clean/crunch/boost) footswitch.
The SLO30 should be about the same weight as the hr25, which means about 30lbs.
Weight wise that's good, now I'm curious about the footswitch.
Not three way. Never has been; never will be.
I want to finance it before I get dragged off to a fema camp!
$4k just like I predicted
