I'm still on the hunt for a smaller gig worthy brownface/tweedish amp with onboard verb and trem, while trying to fight off the urge to skip the verb and trem and just buy a Buster or Crema Wheat.

Any current or past Creamer owners care to provide some love or hate?

Did/does it gig well enough? Did/does anyone have one with VVR and how transparent was it for reducing volume when cranked into OD?

I really like my creamer. I run it with 6l6 and it will keep up in most gigging situations. Love the cleans. Also has the best reverb and tremolo I've played in any amp. Hope that helps.

Thanks! I'm not an OD pedal player. I like to use a boost, but mostly rely on amp OD. Any feedback on the natural OD of the amp?

I’ve posted a lot about the Creamer and Pedal Steel Mini in the past. Maybe search my old posts. Everything I said still applies/I still feel the same way about it. In a nutshell for a small Fender style combo for gigging and playing at home it’s the bees knees. I did use od pedals with it so not sure about the VVR question. I will say it eats od pedals up and makes it part of the amp sound. Very natural with OD pedals. I used a Snouse Black Box and Maxon OD-808; just sounded wonderful.

P.S. immediately get new Tung Sol 5881 and ditch the 6v6’s. Maybe 6L6 if you want more towards blackface/less mid focus sound.
