So..Im off to asia agin, and since I'm already checking a four space rack and a suit case, plus have 2 guitars in a double gig bag as carry on I was trying to figure to get another two with me, and with excess baggage fees being what they are I found this solution...

    SKB Golf Club Hard Case

Anyways, 2 guitars, in gig bags with room for cloth.

I owned one of those to contain my Eminence removable neck travel upright bass. When I wasn't going with the upright I have carried Fender basses, guitars, gear, clothing, et cetera in it. I gained a whole new level of respectability in airports, looking like a golfer instead of a musician!

However when travelling light with a single guitar, I will still carry on. Checked luggage can get lost/stolen.

Don't they hit the oversize bags with massive fees? I think golf bags are up to $80 or $100 each way now.

I looked it up for my next trip on Cathay and no golf stuff doesn't get hit with the overage charge. That said if I can get the second suitcase and guitar into the golf case it's still cheaper than the 170 excess fee per bag.

My dad uses one of those to carry his golf clubs around. One time he flew to Heathrow and someone stole two clubs out of it.
