I can't compare it, because it has some terrific pickups in it.
It has SLU SD's in it, those should be identical as the ones used in the Hamer Ultimates.

I traded this guitar with the Benelux Hamer dealer for this one + cash.

Before I did this deal I was thinking on switching the seths in this one with WCR Fillmores. Now I got the sound I was thinking of instantly...

    Congrats,
Great pics as these guitars are very difficult to photograph
These are phenominal guitars and stunning in person.

    Mine is # 25/30

This is my first Hamer, and definitley not my last one!

Not at all (at least not in our experience). In our guitars it was close to spruce. Not the best sustain or depth, but lot's of acoustic sparkle. I REALLY like it.

List 4200 $ Street ???? (there only a few left from the 30 available)

I'm in Europe, and US imports are very expensive over here. However,
I can say I had a terrific deal on this one. I think the importer really needed the cash and another model to show off with and the Artist Custom was one I never played.
I have another beaten up Artist, that I always prefered.

They make nice guitars but I will NEVER understan the toggle placement.
It's as if they tried to put it in the least ergonomic place.

The swich is actually easier to use than a LP or a strat, it just looks weird at first.
