I don't usually do this, but my tone the evening of this clip was very much to my liking.

This is an original song by a guy named Logan Martin. I did some recording on his "Colorless" record and play live with him, but the electric guitar in this tune was played by Jay Bird Koder on the album... A serious serious player and gentlemen. Check Logan's myspace site to hear Mr. Koder's work.

This one just felt good. Hope you enjoy it.

Really, really nice. Soulful voice and guitar, great tone. Thanks for posting that!

You mention that your tone that night was to your liking...do you ever notice that sometimes it's just the room or the moment rather than the gear? I sure do.

Thank you! The tone of the cot50 lil china and the neck pickup of my tele ALWAYS delivers. Sometimes it's a bit off the tone knob, but that is pretty much the standard.

That night felt extra good as I'd just gone through the both ends flu the night before.. Weak as I was, I felt very happy to just be up there playing. So yeah, I guess it has been the room or the moment.. Sometimes a room with sweet natural verb inspires.

    Thanks for the comments guys!

Very nicely done in every aspect. It'd be interesting to hear horns behind that.

What I really loved in your solo was the SPACE! Thank goodness there are players like you around who know how to phrase and know when NOT to play!

The tone was terrific, but your playing would have sounded great with any tone.

Great feel in the vocals and the whole song, but especially, really tasty and musical playing on your part.

    A million thumbs up.

Wow. Thanks guys. Did not expect such a response.

If you dig the tone, get your hands on COT50 lil china. If you dig the playing as well, thank you!

I've just listened to this a couple more times. Great, soulful vocals, a very dynamic band, and the guitar...perfect tone and touch for that song. It reminds me a lot of Will Derryberry. Great job!
