That video where you and the piano are doing that crazy unison thing at the speed of light. Oh my freakin' god, my head is going to explode. Jesus.

That's like the place I try to reach in my dreams. I need to hit the books...

    Cheers Ivers.

Thanks Tom. Man, that album got some mileage outta ya!!!

Cheers, mate. I bought myself a Humanscale Freedom Chair. Best thing I did. Keeps my posture in check. Breaks are essential, man. Even 5 mins every 40 mins. Or just stand up and stretch occasionally. Drink loads of water. Just be careful, Doug.

Yeah, the chairs help (We have the Herman Miller Aeron chairs at the studio), I try to do shortie breaks, but we've been extremely busy, crazy deadlines to meet, hard to take breaks when you need to. Water, Fish Oil pills (they seem to work!), stretching, doing all that stuff. Been fighting all this crap since about 2001 or so, I'm pretty hip to it. I see the young guys rubbing their arms and necks, it's the tell tale start of this stuff....jeeez.....

Freaking beautiful playing and band! Loved every second Mike. Gwilym was burning too.

Great angular shapes, motifs, time feel, taste, tone, etc etc etc in your solo there Mike.

    Love changes like this!

    Feel better man.

Mike, that's such a lovely sentiment. Thank you.

CT Syndrome thing of the past now?

These past few days have felt great for me. I'm getting the looseness back again. I'm feeling the difference.

Thanks Scott. It's a great band. Very much it's own thing.
And a nice group of guys to go on the road with.
Talk has been made of a US tour somewhere down the line.
    Hope that comes off.

Cheers, Andy. Always funny when I see a post of yours buried in the pub or sound hound lounge. It's like a post a year or something and i go, 'hey there's Mondo. What's happening with him?'.... Hope ya still crunching those minor 2nds and lovely swampy grooves through the blues etc.
    Always tickles my ear.

    Glad to hear it, Mike!

    Stay warm,

    Mike

Ambassador, you're spoiling us. First you release a cracking album on my birthday - easiest present to self I've managed in a while - and then you turn up in Milton Keynes (a town where out cultural expectations are even shorter than our mike stands) and play an absolute blinder. Stunning stuff all round. And 'Wallanders Last Stand' is one mighty fine tune. Even my tone-deaf jazz-ignorant partner left The Stables saying "that first song with the funny harmonica thing was absolutely lovely", and that's high praise for a network engineer with a 2 Unlimited CD they think I've not noticed in the CD rack ...

So, when's the next album? (And will it include that song Adam Nussbaum admitted nicking off his daughter that you played as an encore - that was exquisite).

Thanks, Dave. Ya should have said hello. I came up afterwards With Gwil and Swallow.
Writing for the next album already. Always a bonus when the non-jazzer likes it.
In Much Wenlock tonight (lovely village and Arts Centre).

London Jazz Festival in November but with Steve Rodby. Swallow booked already for his own Quintet.
