Some more Komet 60 lead tone schtuff

    unadulteraded but for a bit of post echo - laid over a lil bt from the LPF member TaylorNut

    R8 with a PAF in the bridge and a pat# in the neck, all 3 positions represented in the clip. 70s Marshall 412 micd with a Cascade fat boy ribbon

    one good clunker bend but otherwise OK I think =)

    Nice smooth tone! How do you like the Cascade? Is it fairly accurate at capturing the tone in the room?

    thx man, yeah I think it's pretty darn close. 1st ribbon I've used in ages, still experimenting with placement, this recording it was about 3.5 feet back from the speaker or so

    thx, it was attenuated down 3 clicks on the air brake, amp volume about 12:00 o'clock

    Sounds great! Hey, That Fat Boy 2 mic... With it's Figure 8 Symetrical pattern, would that be an ok mic for live use?

    btw ive been saying fat boy when i meant fat head =) I dunno about live with a ribbon, never tried it. My only experience prior to this one has been recording vox in a studio
