Thought I would share my collection-
And one non GMP that is just as cool in the flake quality dept...
NICE! I love that silver one w/the Bigsby-BCRMusic had one of those that I lusted after, but it left before I got to pull the trigger on it. Here's mine...
Lespaul6...I'm first in line if you decide to sell the Silver Roxie!!!
Some beautiful guitars for sure...no one did flake like GMP. Here's one I let go that I would give anything to get back:
Man, I'm always completely blown away by the GMP finishes like your flamed bass....dont sell it~
OMG, I need a moment of silence. I cant believe you sold this! You were probably afraid to play it- its so nice! Damn Frisco
They were the masters of flake. Then there's this-a little more subtle...
GAS is a terrible thing...thanks, now you've got me gassing for a GMP bigtime!!!
With only a little over a 1000 made most have been taken out of circulation and are in the hands of a concentrated few on the gmp forum etc...the prices were somewhat reasonable as late as 2005 but recently things have gone crazy money! That quilt top was a namm guitar that I couldnt afford when I saw it at the show (nashville). I was able to buy it a few years later when it turned up on ebay.
Ive never seen a sparkle finish Hamer....very rock n roll.
Ok, this makes no sense on a guitar forum but.... my red metalflake gmp bobber...ha ha
I had 2 pawnshop classics. A killer teal green one with a coil tap on the rear hum, very unique sounding guitar, wish I still had it. Then I had a black one with maple fretboard that I have seen on ebay or here for sale at least 12 times...."she's like the village bicycle baby, everyone has had a ride!"
wow, there is one just like your teal green pawnshop on ebay right now.
those sparkle guitars are really nice.
Feast your eyes on these GMP's...
What was the sn on the Green one. It looks a lot like the one I have sitting in my stand
I've been wanting a GMP Roxie in a sparkle finish with a Bigsby for the longest time...since 2002 when I first saw their ad in a guitar magazine. I'd really like a Union Jack sparkle but I'd settle for any sort of sparkle finish...if only I could afford one!
