Hi Everyone! Just wanted to share two songs with everyone. My band is called Makayla and these are some recordings we did at a rehearsal one day. Would love to have some feedback. We have a blues/rock kinda feel and we just love to get together and have a good time playin. Have a listen and enjoy! Thanks!

    Like both, second sounded tighter.

    Great voice on the singer.

Reminds me of BS & T, and others from that time.

Very soulful. Some of my favorite music to play. You guys have the vibe. Fall was really pretty. I liked the clean tones too. Nice!!

"The Fall" is real nice. Great jam band material! The chords in the chorus/hook really provide great signposts to the song.

"Myself" is a great classic groove.

It wouldn't be the Gear Page if you didn't tell us what you used? Guitars, amps, effects, etc? Spill the details!

I was using my G&L ASAT Classic though a Blackstone Overdrive and a Voodoo Labs Sparkel Drive, running through a Mesa Boogie Blue Angel (4X10). The rhythm parts are clean through the amp (Settings are Volume- between 9 and 10 o'clock, Highs-9 o'clock, Mids- 1 o'clock, lows- between 3 & 4 o'clock, and reverb- about 10 o'clock.) For the leads I kicked in the Sparkle Drive (settings are: Gain- all the way up, tone- 11 o'clock, clean- 9 o'clock, volume- 12 o'clock)

BTW I was using the EL-84's.

That's about it. I try to keep things as simple as possible.
