    So I happen to have two Landgraff Dynamic Overdrive pedals and need to sell one. Checking out the innards, I noticed the codes on the op amps are slightly different.

    #1 - JRC 4558D 4003A

    #2 - JRC 4558D 2189C

    What is the difference here?

    They must be production codes since any variation in the Op-Amps specs would be reflected by some suffix to the part number and not after it as a seperate number

    google them

    Do they sound any different?

    A 4558D is a 4558D. I wouldn't worry about it.

    Not worried about it. Just trying to educate myself about the ICs. My guess is that they are production codes.

    Probably date codes

    4003 = 40th week of 2003
    2189 = 21st week of 1989
