I've been gigging with a Spirit and after getting through a two hour gig on Saturday night, I coiled it up and put it in my gigbag. Got home, plugged in on Sunday and it's just dead. Never had that with a guitar lead before. I've had them become crackly but never just die.

What do I look for in the jacks? I'm a noob when it comes to guitar leads but the straight jack *looks* fine. How do I actually disassemble a right-angled Neutrik jack to look inside?

Hmm....mine have been rock solid in 5 years of gigging. My previous cables developed static... I got my Sommers at Lava, so I imagine the connections are pretty over-engineered. Can't help on the Neutrick....mine have G&H connectors.

Hm yeah, it's weird. I've had cables go bad but never just die without any reason which is why I'm a little baffled.
