There are some songs that I really like because the lyrics are a great story, but not the kind of thing I'd want happening to me. They don't have to be true...fiction is fine. Here are my favorites. Your suggestions are welcome!

    Gimme Three Steps - Skynyrd
    Dixie Chicken - Dregs
Thela Hun Ginjeet - King Crimson

Fitzgerald is my choice. That situation must have been terrifying. Add the fact that it's based on actual events and it makes for a haunting song (the mids obviously help too).

I thought of Edmund Fitzgerald almost before I finished reading the question...

Must be an age group thing.;)

rhyme of the ancient mariner-what not to do when a bird ***** on yer head
if you like pina colodas-you hook up with a girl on tinder but ...its your wife :messedup
wait 'till tomorrow-go to your girls house but instead of her, her dad answers the door wielding a shotgun
gallows pole-your sister bangs the hang man, but you still end up on the rope. nice.

I don't know. I could handle being a rich guy eating in a fancy dining car, drinking coffee and smoking big cigars.
