(Man, I have a ton of these...)

I heard 'Barracuda' by Heart on the radio earlier, and everytime I hear it, I just wish it grooved for another ten minutes or so. I almost get totally hypnotized and then it's over. Bums me out to no end. Why end such glory so soon?

    How about you?

The ones I wish would go longer always have a strong percussion component or percussion break in 'em. Songs like "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" or "Oye Como Va" could go on forever when those drum sounds get rolling. :rimshot

Right on, excellent answer, totally agree. Can't You Hear Me Knocking oughtta be at least 8 minutes longer. Furthermore, and to yer point, I wish more bands employed heavy percussion breakdowns.

I love Hendrix's Little Wing as is, but could have been nice if he added another verse, or chorus.

I always thought White Rabbit should have been much longer. Only a piddly 2:30 pop length.

Rush Different Strings from Permanent Waves. Great raw soloing at the end.

CSN&Y's Everybody I Love You is not even an average song's length and I have played it over and over to make up for it.

    I agree as well.

I saw Santana play "Jingo" at Woodstock and I didn't want it to end. Ever. Those incredible percussion lines held that together in a way I would like to see more often. Remember, Carlos was on Acid at the time... :eeks

BTW-The "Can't You Hear Me Knockin" outro was a "mistake", the boys kept playing after the real song ended and no one shut down the tape recorder. Thank god.

Bobby Keyes: I miss you, man...
