This is the final boss music from 'Sonic the Hedgehog' on the Megadrive, rearranged for guitar, synths and break beats.

    • For the higher guitar lines I used a Les Paul Studio running through an Ibanez Tube Screamer; the chunkier riffs were created by running the same guitar into a BlackStar distortion pedal.

    • All the synth sounds and the bassline were produced on a Korg microKORG.

    • Finally, the beats were sequenced using Reason.

I used Garageband for much of the arrangement, with loops created separately in Reason. ProTools was used for audio processing and mastering.

Hope you enjoy it, and I'd be really grateful for any feedback.

Dreams Come True was a great band, and that music had a big impact on me as a youth.
