I just got this last night... I feel that the Sony unit represents the source audio very well. I tried an older generation Edirol more than a year ago and it didn't do it for me. The new Edirol units from what I understand, are better, but I have not tried those.

Tyler SE Retro into a Dave Friedman Marsh amp through a CAA 1x12 loaded with a Scumback M75. Faustine Phantom was used.. you can tell how low the volume levels were because you can hear me strumming and my chair creek!

Took me about 5 min to setup and 5 min to record.

I still have to work a little on the placement, but here you go:

I have a D50, but would have bought this in a heartbeat if it'd been available when I was shopping around. I also had one of the Edirols before I got my Sony, and the Sony is so far superior it's astounding.

It's also really tough & easy to use, with easily-distinguished hardware buttons. If this little guy is comparable to my D50, you should be very happy for some time to come.

I would love to hear a band recorded while rehearsal with the Sony, because I intended to buy it for this purpose. Anything to post yet, J.T.?
