I do that every morning when gargling with Listerine. Great sound effect.

I think I'm falling for a joke, but here goes.

He was singing through a hand held fan. But everybody knew that, and this thread is just rhetorical, right?

On my first electric guitar you could turn the distortion way up and scream into the pickups to get that sound. It was pretty awesome.

Try talking through a fan people, lol. Try different speeds too. Try putting a fan in front of your amp.

I was playing electric guitar through an amp in a small room with a ceiling fan.....great tremolo effect. At first I didn't realize where it was coming from,

Yeah but there is some kind of effect on it ..... it's a metallic sound and I'm wondering what they had back in the day to get that distortion? :huh

If you swap out the plastic blades for brass you get really close to that sound. I wonder if they weren't cheap zinc alloy pot metal blades on that fan.

Are we talking the ending scene when Downey Jr is sitting in front of the podium at the press conference?

He was always assured of one fan being in front of him when he sang.

I got an EHX vocoder called the 'Iron Lung'. It does a pretty cool robot voice.
