Soul Food into a Gain Changer ?

Would this be too much of the same ("good") thing ? Looking for a means to get into the Matt Schofield strat tone. Thinking the Soul Food would be more effective than an EP Booster ?

I use my Gain Changer with the flat eq. I understand the Soul Food has a low mid hump. IMO, then, the Soul Food may be useful as a boost into (or after) the Gain Changer if you have the GC set up that way.
