It still bugs me a little, that there is no filter-option, that has a cut-off point of more than 6khz. My MOOG-Lpf in the 4-Pole setting opens up much more, than the 4-Pole Filter in the C4. Okay, it's a MOOG, but shouldn't the frequency-range at least be a little wider? Or am I misunderstanding something here?

How much spectral content exists on a guitar above 6k?

Are there any demos of this pedal that represent it as something useful in a musical context? Every demo I’ve seen or heard has been video game sounds, special effects, or people making a guitar/bass sound like a toy ray gun.

No not really... the best so far has been the bass demo from a few pages back IMO. The sub synth stuff towards the end of the video sounds great.

I'm sure this synth can sparkle, some would use full range amplification or recording.
I like using expression pedal with cutoff, toe down fully open.

    peace

It's about the harmonics. Especially with overdriven or non-sine waveforms.

I’ll pick up mine on Monday or Tuesday and will be on to this as soon as I can.

Yes. Sweetwater just posted a video that highlights "normal" playing and "normal" sounds that could be used in a band context. However, the guitarist is playing solo, not with a band.

I've heard a bunch of great synth tones in the demos. Are synthesizers no longer being used musically?

All of the sounds I have submitted to the Neuro library have been or will be used in a live musical context. A few of them have also been used in recording sessions too. All used with Bass guitar.

Has anyone had any luck programming up an EHX Bassballs style sound? Or even if someone has clear idea of what exactly the Bassballs does that'd be helpful (I know it's two relatively narrow Band Pass Filters in parallel) - I've tried programming it, and just keep end up getting sidetracked. All amazing sounds, but just not quite on the mark.

That's definitely the best demo I've seen so far. Thanks!

I had suggested this as well, it sounded like Roger was down with it. Hopefully a firmware update will address this. I'm guessing the SA guys have been working like mad to get the production units shipped!

This may have been asked, but I'm curious. How are people powering this puppy? I have a OneSpot CS12. Think that would do the trick, or would it be better to just use the provided SA power supply?

I’m powering mine of a 400 tap from my voodoo labs 4x4... but if you have a 200 amp tap, it will work. I’m powering my la lady and Lunar Phaser from a 400 tap (same power source) no noise, no problems. Your cs12 will work great.

I have one on the way and I'll make videos after I spend some time with it. If anyone has requests, let me know and I can try to include them. I'm sure there will be more videos by then but I'm also sure there will still be a lot to cover.
