    The EQ2 Programmable Equalizer
The EQ2 Programmable Equalizer is the second generation our tremendously popular Programmable EQ, a multi-preset, MIDI controllable pedal that landed on the boards of numerous pro guitarists, including six-string icons David Gilmour and John Mayer. This updated version is a combination graphic and parametric equalizer with 10 adjustable frequency bands, stereo ins & outs, MIDI In and Thru jacks, 8 onboard presets, 128 MIDI accessible presets, an additional 12dB volume boost, and the ability to simultaneously run two discrete EQ presets (one for each stereo output). The EQ2 is scheduled to reach stores in March of 2020.

    A Pedal for the Everymusician
"Source Audio created a completely new product category when we released the Programmable EQ pedal back in 2011. It gradually became one of our most successful products. We are confident that the EQ2, with its ten adjustable frequency bands, stereo I/O, and both graphic and parametric equalization capabilities, will be an extremely useful pedal to countless guitar, bass, and keyboard players of all genres”

Is the signal path analog or digital?

I imagine it’s digital. The first version was and I’m almost certain every Source Audio pedal has been digital.

Will the full details be released at NAMM? I’m curious if the second set of I/Os can still be used as an FX loop for the EQing

I wish the boost knob would have been a "slider" instead of a knob, so you know how it is set between presets.
Otherwise I will surely get one, as I love the first version very much.

In another pic I saw, it looks more blue than the purple I’m seeing in the above post.

It is a level knob whose light level varies with its position. This worked very well on the original PEQ.
Sliders don't work well this presets unless they are motorized. That was beyond what we wanted to accomplish in a small pedal format.

Agree, the variable LED in the original PEQ level knob worked well.

Bummer. It looks so cool and I love the midi implementation. I know that I couldn't possibly hear the difference, but my fartsniffery won't allow for the digital conversion.

For me the major drawback with the original EQ was that it would always power up engaged and revert to preset 1.
I want a pedal to remember its last settings when I turn the power on. Has this been addressed in EQ2?

It's interesting. Our PEQ is used by more big touring artists than any other SA pedal.
    • David Gilmour uses 3 of them in his rig.
    • John Mayer
    • Warren Haynes
    • Steven Wilson
    • Guthrie Govan
    • Steve Winwood
    • Phish
Others I can't think of right now. Despite the fact it's digital, its used ubiquitously.
There's no way to offer this feature set with an analog signal path.
