Yeah, Bob lives not far from me. I needed a custom size for my SLO clone so I gave him the dimensions and he made it to specs and gave me a great deal. He wants to do more custom stuff really. I got some faceplates from amplates.com as well and stuck them on at the same time I did the headshell swap. Heres a pic: er, photobucket is down, I will come back and post it.

Nice! Looks like quality is pretty good, the tolex and piping look well applied. How's the woodwork?

I thought it was pretty good. He said it was 13ply baltic birch I think. Im not knowledgable enough to really know but it felt super sturdy. By comparison, the best tolex work I have ever seen was done by Splawn. It was pretty close to that but I dont think anything could really beat it. Shoot him a message on his ebay store or what not and he will give you a quote. Only thing I wish I woulda done different now is had black piping but at the time I was set on getting gold faceplates. oh yeah, if you have a particular tolex material that is out of the ord, you can send it to him and he will do it up. I almost got gator skin but chickened out at $50 a yard.

Watch this guy .He made me a Bluesbreaker with the wrong dimension faceplate opening and would not honor his mistake.

Did you get your cab yet? If so, any feedback? Tia.
