"Speak to Me" - trippy rock original

from the new album.
"The Time Is Magic"

recorded and mixed in sonar
lots of feedback electric guitar, some real spacey alternative music loops done in Nuendo, lots of harmonies, double tracked lead vox, slippery bass lines, and a head-trip lead guitar solo, inspired by jeff beck (no picks!)
heheh

hope you enjoy it.

hey dr gonzo!
thanks for breaking the ice......

appreciate the comments.

ear candy, yes.....
i'm always searching for a way to administer the 'ear candy', without diminishing the mix or clogging up the works....

in this case, theres a LOT going on.....

thanks for listening and commenting!!

i really appreciate it.

Beck was one of my earliest influences....

even before i could pull off ANY of his licks, i was trying!!
LOL

i guess hendrix was first, and Beck would be second.

i remember trying to jam with "Rainy Day, Dream Away" off of electric ladyland, when i got my first Vox Wah pedal....

but then when i heard 'black cat moan' by beck bogart and appice, i was off to the races.

i mean, i don't really play anything phrased like beck, but i get his direction, his tone, his attitude, and it's just an influence, so i've tried to find my own version of the same 'dialect'.

if that makes any sense....

thanks again!

steve hillage!

now, there's a name that doesn't get dropped very often...
long time ago, i had his "Fish Rising" album.
cool player, he was a bit ahead of his time i think, maybe in line with Fripp, John Goodsall, and steve howe.
