I play classic rock and 80s metal through a Mesa Mk5:35, Marshall DSL40CR, Vox AC15C1, and a PRRI with Jensen P12Q, strats and pauls.

    Available options are:
    1. Creamback M65
    2. WGS Retro 30
    3. G12T-75
    4. 70/80
    5. Greenback out of the AC15
    6. Keep the C90 Black Shadow

Personally, I would chose Creamback, but who’s to say we have the same taste.

Your Greenback isn’t rated high enough for some of your amps.

What's missing with the C90? For ported cabs [Celestion's not a fan of most their speakers running ported] I turn toward EVM12Ls.

The C90 is a tweaked Celestion G12K-85, I have a DC5 with the same speaker.
Leave it in there, nothing in your list is better.
Years ago I scored a used Peavey 412m slant cab. Knowing what was in it, I asked the guy if the speakers were ever changed. He said "nope, they're still the 12" ones it came with. It's yours for $200 but it's heavy as hell".
I now have 4 spare G12K-85s from Ipswich, England. :)

Well, I didn’t want to tell the whole story as it’s pretty long. In a nutshell, I have a Marshall 2x12 loaded with a CB 12M65 and a WGS Retro 30. I also have a Marshall 1965a with the original G10L-35s.

I’m looking to make the Mesa into something different. I haven’t played through it in a few months, and I won’t have the opportunity to do so for at least another week.

Was really looking for some advice til I can get home next week and experiment a little.

I had a pair of Retro 30s and I think one would sound good in that 112 cab.
