Just picked up an NOS Forte 3D 1x12 from Guitar Exchange Boutique. I have a 3D Vertical 2x12, that I've used exclusively in my studio, but I love this 1x12 so much, I'm going to be selling it in the emporium soon. It came equipped with a Scumback H-75 (8 ohm, 100w), and it sounds pretty good, but I'm a chronic tinkerer, so I was wondering if any of you other 3D 1x12 owners have a speaker that you love in your cab.

Here's my target: classic rock crunch rhythm tones from mid 70's - mid 80's. I play Les Pauls and other humbucker guitars (no single coils in the corral), and I play through a Fryette Sig X.

    Any thoughts???

I have used a Scholz Classic in mine for a couple of years now and love these speakers through this cabinet. They're kinda hard to find, but definitely worth the effort. Currently, my main amp is a Bogner Ecstasy 101b. I run it on the 50 watt mode mostly and it simply kicks arse!

Yes, I'm in search mode now for one of these. I'd love to try one for sure!

Check with Brandon at Bludotone. I just bought two 8 ohm Classics from him; delivery on Monday. He said he might have a couple left. Just be patient with him; he tends to take his time 'bout things!

Scumback BM75 (65 Watt) in mine; brings a pie-eatin' grin to my face everytime I plug the Masonette in.

Put the Scholz Classic in this weekend and it ROCKS! But, I'll probably A/B it with some others just for kicks, so keep the recommendations coming!

the speaker you had in there is a great one. You may also want to consider the new Celestion Creambacks, Creamback H 75 and M versions.
