Speaker repair

    does anyone know how to reattach the wire from the speaker cone to the speaker terminal? i have an eminence speaker that got messed up. the terminal got broken off with the wire leading to the cone getting ripped out of the cone. does anyone know how to fix this or where to get it fixed? thanks as always. jmac

    Depends on how close it's ripped off to the cone. If it's ripped right off at the cone, then you're probably hosed. Your best bet is to take it to a speaker reconing service and see if they can add some wire to it to solder on to a new terminal. If not, then you're likely looking at a complete recone...sorry.     FWIW....I called Ted Weber the other day to find out about reconing and he referred me to Orange County.....he told me Weber no longer does recones....
