Speaker(s) for Morgan Dual 40

I'm trying to decide what speakers to get for my dual 40, and whether to use a 1x12 or a 2x12. On his website, he says the 1x12 combo comes with a celestion blue, which I would have thought wasn't high powered enough for this amp. Anyone have one, and can attest that it can handle it? All other opinions are appreciated.

A pair of blues can hang at 40w, but not a single. Go for the 50w Gold. It has many of the characteristics of the 15w Blue, but with a solid bottom and less cone cry. I have one in my Britain 3.0 and love it.

I prefer the ASW Elegante to the gold for the dual 40 when running 1*12. 2 *12 blues is hard to beat though. But, a well broken in Gold is ok too.

Don't know if it changes anything, but I figured I should clarify that it's a dual 40 VS. I've got a morgan 2x12 that I've been lugging around with greenbacks for my 30/800, but I've really been thinking of getting a 1x12 to save my back. I'll have to look into the Elegante, sounds like they get a lot of praise on here.

My band mate has an Elegante in his AC20 1x12 combo and it sounds righteous.

I played my Dual 20 through an Elegante in the 1x12 ext cab today. Buddy I was jamming with had not seen the amp before and asked me what I had the reverb set on. It was that good.
