Wonderful guest solo by Alex Hutchings, too.
Jess is one of my faves of all the current young guitarists out there. Male or female.
Alwx is fantastic player and teacher! Good stuff.
Both are fantastic players....Jess is man.....
very nice stuff. Not over the top shredding. Slow enough to understand, fast enough to be slick.
She's just like Slash without the hat. At least in the way you never see her face. Very talented. How old is she?
a definite 'Larry Carlton' vibe going on.
She is pretty awesome. Damn.
Very cool stuff from both of them!
check out samantha fish as well
Damn, Jess Lewis has both awesome tone and phrasing! Is Alex Hutchings her teacher? Fantastic job both teaching and playing by Hutchings if that is the case.
Yes. Her amazing playing is the result of a natural gift, a great teacher, and lots of practice.
One to watch is Desiree' Bassett from Connecticut. She's gotten a lot of press playing with Nuge, Dickie Betts, and on the Boston Legends shows. This year she nabbed the lead guitar spot on Cirque de Soleil's "Michael Jackson the Immortal" world tour.....not bad for her first year out of high school! A great kid & stellar talent with off-the-charts charisma.
She sounds great!
NICE!!! Anyone need any firewood???
I'd say she was in the "zone" when she played; very focused and great attention to detail in her phrasing, vibrato, scales and licks. Just about as good as any seasoned studio session guitarist. She has a gift. I hear Steely Dan in both of their solos.
#1 that was very tasty and nice
#2 like someone posted earlier... very larry carltonesque
#3 worst backing track ever?
I think they did a good job emulating the sound of the original tune.
Alex is a fine player. This song was not my thing though. It would make a nice movie sound track though.
How does she get that lead tone? It sounds congested and middy, but clear.
