It doesn't care. There is a slight, slight, slight, tonal change when post buffer, but it is - wait for it - Slight. ;)

Apparently I'm being too slow for my wife as well (I'm really tired guys...) so she is putting them up right now for me. So I am free to play Minecraft with The Boy.

Nope, still not up yet. It takes a bit to upload pics and such. I love the enthusiasm though!

That's the one I would have picked. This is the first pedal without Midi that I have seriously GASed for in a long time. I might have to pull the trigger. Things that make you go hmmm.

Your reputation is solid! I think the time spent with DOD/Digitech really, REALLY boosted your reputation and credibility in this highly competitive business. Even though it delayed your individual goals it gave you a solid chance for being a success.

As to the pedal itself I would concur with much of what Nick said. The 3 different transistor settings are really not that different, especially at lower volumes. It's not like the CM-2(which I loved) for instance, which had a huge difference between vintage and modern settings. It's something where I will eventually fine the setting I like the most and probably never move it. To me it's the interaction of the detail and bias knobs that really make it interesting. The Gain and Output knobs change things up more or less as expected but the other 2 give you the differences that truly make this pedal so dang versatile.

Is this pedal going to be the ongoing flagship of your line and continue to be made over the years? Other than color, are you ready to give a few more hints as to what designs the future holds?

I agree. The bias and detail and fuzz knob interaction make for a lot of different shades and hues. I actually am finding more differences between the 3 settings the more I mess with them. The differences come out when you turn the knobs.

    Thank you!

Yeah, having the diodes in series with the N2 definitely makes the toggle more subtle. It seems to get more apparent the lower output pickups you use, which makes sense since you are hitting the N2 with less amplitude and that lets the downstream diodes have more of a voice. There are a few ways electronically to make the toggle a lot more apparent, but that defeats the point of the pedal IMO. The idea with the Black Rose is that the N2 is the star and the Texture Toggle just subtly changes the feel. There are already several "dial-a-distortion" pedals out there that have the N2 as one of the voices. I think it was @DaveKS that called them "showcase" pedals, and while there is nothing wrong with that I wanted to take a different tack.

Yes, the Black Rose will be a staple. I'm planning on some variations and available mods in the future, but right now I'm just trying to get my footing.
