Anybody do this, using one Klone (any brand) for a light/medium OD and the other one essentially as a clean/semi-clean boost or stacked OD?
If so, how does it sound in your opinion?

Yes, I've done it. I also have a BadCat Siamese Drive, which is essentially two Klon-type circuits in a single box. Cascading one side into the other sounds pretty great, imo, for a smooth, mid-rangey lead sound that really cuts through.

Chuck Garvey from moe. because he's a bad ass. He bought the Klon for $200 in 98'. Go to 25 mins in.

It's loud, but nothing special when stacked. I had a double klone pedal. Ended up only using 1 at a time

    Most Klones stacked = noise.

It sounds great. I used to have a Pedal Monsters dual Klone that sounded really incredible. Not too much noise. I'd use the first side for dirt and the second for boost. Sold it in the emporium a while ago.

I tried it and it didn't blow me away. Having said that, I am not a fan of stacking in general. It always adds mud. Even a tiny bit of mud doesn't work for me.

I'm a big fan of Klon(e)s, but stacking two has always been pretty meh too me. Probably the case for any two of the same OD's stacked. I'm a proponent of interracial love when it comes to my dirt boxes.

I'm going to try stacking my Pedal Projects Klone (light OD) with my EHX Bass Soul Food (heavier OD).
The EHX does higher gain better than the Klone
