TGP fashionistas! What is your opinion of the Chelsea boot?
Nerdy, uptight, overthinking, unemotional, intellectual types. Basically the opposite of an artist. Obviously a generalization, but true in many cases.
An incorrect generalization (the worst kind). None of those things have anything to do with education, except 'intellectual types', whatever that is. FYI, many successful artists are highly educated, and most successful artists are much more educated than their fans. Being un-educated is not cool.
Sounds like half the artists I like. Anyway sounds like you’re the one who’s projecting some issues.
Usually a button-up, then throw it into the crowd at the end of the gig. It's gets costly after a while.
I'm not sure why you would stray from what is known to work:
I would shop at John Varvatos if I had the dough. I don't, so I shop at thrift stores.
Where do you put the block and tackle?
One more wafer thin mint and Tom is going to explode.
You look really familiar.
It's fashionable to not care what other people think, and choose what you like.
here's some of my favorite stage clothes as of late:
and to bring back the Rococo:
or you can't go wrong with this:
My wife bought a few pairs of these for me last year. Absolutely love them. Wide range of styles.
Had a pair of Frye harness boots my wife bought me probably 10 years ago. Lasted forever. They weren't quite so expensive back then though.
Oh damn, I didn’t see the prices. She was buying in bulk, I think she got them closer to $150, iirc.
I think my wife had a discount and also got them clearanced from Zappos. I remember her saying they were a deal or we couldn't afford them otherwise. My Ariats were similar. $200 boots for $99.
Sorry if it’s already been mentioned before.
Crocs or Flip Flops for footwear.
Honestly, my stage motto is “What Would Alexandro Escovedo” wear. He always looks real, and elegant but interesting.
Stage look and stage presence matter in my book. Unless that is the act, it has to be authentic. But a little extra something is warranted.
