I am looking to start a band. I have 9 songs demoed (hosted on soundcloud) and 10 more songs written that are not recorded currently. These songs are to give you an idea of the type of musicians I'm looking for. I don't really like that they are online (they were originally intended for my own reference only) but at least you can hear what I'm going for:

The sound has influences all over the place. From The Stooges and The Doors to The Black Keys and such.
I want to put together a 3-piece group for the time being. I need a good backbeat drummer and a bassist that can groove. Hoping for guys (or girls) in the 20-25 age range, but I'm open to anyone with talent.
Down the road I'd love to add black-up singers. Gloria Jones/T.Rex/Rolling Stones kinda ****.
The group (that I don't have) is entitled HOT ROD MAMAS. There is no "the", because The Hot Rod Mamas just does not sound as cool.
A big thank you to Tommycat Scifres for all of his support and creative genius. Thanks also to Max @ Dark Pines Studios and Mikey Deming of Jonas Sees in Color for their assistance in some of the demos.
I'd like to get the ball rolling, get in the studio and start gigging out very soon. I'm not looking to travel much at the onset. Can discuss touring and other things in the future.
